Seedhi baat: Aapka naam, Gmail aur phone number hum kisi bhi galat kaam mein use nahi karenge. Aapka data sirf is app aur website ko behtar banane aur aapki service chalane ke liye use hoga. Hum aapka data bechte nahi hain.
Our promise in English: we will never use your name, Gmail address or phone number for any wrong or harmful purpose. Your data is used only to run and improve this app and website.
1. Who we are
Mera Kiraya ("we", "us") is a platform where building owners list rooms for rent and tenants search for them and contact owners directly. This policy explains what information we collect and what we do with it. If you have questions, write to us at merakiraya98@gmail.com.
2. Information we collect

| Approximate location | Only if you allow it in your browser, to show rooms near you. |
| Basic technical data | Device type, browser and app usage, to keep the service working and fix errors. |
3. How we use your information
- To create your account and confirm that you are a real person.
- To show rooms that match a tenant's requirements.
- To let a tenant with an active token see an owner's phone number and chat with the owner, and to let owners receive those enquiries.
- To understand what people search for (for example which areas and budgets are in demand) so we can improve the app and website. We look at this in summary form.
- To send important service messages, such as an OTP, a payment confirmation or a change to this policy.
- To find and stop fake accounts, spam and misuse.
4. What we will never do
- We will not use your name, Gmail address or phone number for any wrong, harmful or unlawful purpose.
- We will not sell or rent your personal data to anyone.
- We will not use your data for advertising by third parties.
- We will not send you spam calls or messages that have nothing to do with the service.
5. Who can see your information
- Owners: the mobile number you enter as an owner is shown to tenants who have an active token, because that is the purpose of the listing.
- Tenants: your name and messages are visible to the owner you chat with.
- Service providers: we use trusted providers to run the service, such as Google and Firebase for sign-in, database and hosting, an SMS provider for OTPs, and a payment provider for payments. They handle data only to provide their service to us.
- Legal reasons: we may share information if the law or a court order requires it.
6. Google user data
We use Google Sign-In only to read your name and email address so we can create and identify your account. We do not access your Gmail inbox, contacts, Drive or any other Google data. Mera Kiraya's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
7. Payments
Payments for owner subscriptions and tenant tokens are processed by our payment provider. We do not see or store your card, UPI PIN or bank login details.
8. How long we keep data and how we protect it
We keep your data while your account is active. Data is stored on secure cloud servers and is protected with access controls and encrypted connections (HTTPS). No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and limit who on our side can access it.
9. Your choices
- You can ask to see, correct or delete your data at any time by emailing merakiraya98@gmail.com from your registered address. We will act on deletion requests within 30 days.
- You can turn off location access in your browser settings at any time.
- You can remove Mera Kiraya's access to your Google account from your Google Account security settings.
10. Children
Mera Kiraya is meant for people aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date above and, for important changes, tell you in the app or by email.
